Well since you haven't phrased the question as a decision based on input pricing, (i.e. UAN is cheaper this year so maybe I should use less NH3).  

You are only asking for the reasons:
1.Benefit of a better burn down, (which is a fact that is debated on here)
2. Splitting up N (which traditionally means more applications to avoid N loss)

Are you concerned you will be losing N from the fall application by springtime?
