Subject: bale processor

Earlville, NY
We've had a used Rotogrind 760 for about 5 years. We grind round grass bales and big straw squares into commodity shed bays for feeding to far off and closeup dry dairy cows. Never been too impressed; it tends to grab big chunks and bog the tractor down pretty bad (220 hp). We've put in new flails, tried different speeds and adjusting the height(?) of the flails but can never seem to achieve consistent operation. We also break bearing housings frequently on the bearings that keep the tub aligned, can't find any obvious reason.

Can't really see buying a new grinder, local dealer has a nice used Baleking 5100. Seems like a nice machine, how well do others like this brand? Will it grind up slices from big square bales? TIA
