south west iowa | What is the age of your oldest building? How wide is your ridge cap opening? Do think you will have any rot on the rafters being rained & snowed on? Our ridge cap opening is 18" wide and our rafters showed some discoloring on them where the rain and snow has been on them and they were only 3 years old. We don't think we would like to change much on the building when we rebuild it as our air flow was grate. Was wondering if you had thought about covering the rafters with tin or something?
