Embarrass WI
All the talk about funerals got me thinking.....

While your loved one is alive, take lots of pictures. Make sure they are in a form you can access. Get the best/most interesting ones printed on paper, like an actual photograph.

I attended a visitation for a neighbor tonight, 85 year old bachelor dairy farmer. His nephew took the farm over and is operating it. The picture board had about 8 pictures on it, that was all they had. Most of those were posed family snapshots from when he was a little kid.

When my wife passed, we had a hard time finding pictures of her from our married with children life. Most of the time she was the one holding the camera. When we traveled, we took pictures of what we saw, and neither her nor me was in the pictures. I'm not a big fan of selfies, but it would have been nice if she had taken some that we could have shown at her wake.
