Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | Pictures below show WAAS DGPS Correction screens that were snapped when tractor mounted EZ-500 and EZ-plus units were stopped side by side during field operations today. They show that SNR for WAAS satellite 138 is about 3dB higher than WAAS satellite 135 in both EZs. They also show about 3 dB higher SNR in the EZ-500 than in the EZ-plus for both WAAS satellites.. We have configured EZ-500 to include WAAS satellites for position solutions, that configuration is not lost when power is cycled. We have configured EZ-plus to Heed Health for both WAAS satellites 138 and 135, but that configuration is lost when power is cycled (need to reconfigure DGPS corrections each time EZ-Plus is powered up). EZ-500 screen snap below once again shows that number of satellites is greater, and HDOP is less, than predicted by Trimble's planning software.
