Subject: Grazing calves on cornstalks


Cullom, Illinois
For those of you that run calves (weaned 400-600#) on corn stalk, I have a few questions. Do you start them on corn intake in the feedlot to build up tolerance? Then feed them corn that morning and then turn them out? And after they are out there, do you just let them only eat what they graze or do you supplement them somehow? Looks like cheap feed going to waste. If I only had fence...
