The Green Hills of Missouri | I haven't made a bale yet this year due to all the rain. Going to start today and make it rain more.
I have a DCX101 Caseih(NH) discbine. This is going to be some tall rank hay to mow and condition and as you can imagine some big windrows to get to dry. I will mow today and tedder it tomorrow morning.
My question is how do I set the rubber crimping rolls. I guess I've always had them as tight as they would go. So how do I know what the correct setting is? This is grass alfalfa mix hay for Cattle.
If I'm going to ted it anyway would you put it in a narrow windrow and let more soil see the sun to dry for a day or lay it out and still ted the next day. Thanks for the help. |
