Subject: Stocker Hiefer Implant

Kirksville, Mo
Hello Guys, first time poster, I have some questions, We bought 100 Light Weight Heifers, 350-450 lbs. They Avg 475 now, and we would like to push them a little. We are going try to sell them at 600 lbs at Grass ( May 1st). They are Getting 6lbs a day of 40% DDG/40Corn, 20 soy hulls, and free choice hay. We had a bout of coccidosis with this weather change, lost 2 but have it under control, which really sucks as we had them 60 days. I have been Reading a lot about it, and here is my questions.

1) Implant or not, we got approx 60 days to go, is it too late in game? and Dont want to take a Hit at the sale barn, If yes, which implant? I have been looking at revalor, as am thinking the hotter the better.

2) Rumensin, what i have read i have liked, not sure how expensive it, but like above is it worth feeding the last 6 weeks? I also read they dont like it, would they still eat it good in that ration.

Open to suggestions to help gain, or help market the heifers
