West Cental Arkansas | We have reached the point in our lives where we are financially able to retire. I am 60 years old and my wife is 57. We are in good health and active. Basically all I have ever done is work. Don.t get me wrong we have had vacations, traveled a lot here in the U.S., been to old tractor shows from Minnesota to Florida, spent 2 months in Florida one winter, been on a cruise, but during these times of being away from our farm and business I felt guilty for not woking. I hate those feelings of guilt but don;t know how to rid myself of them.
I no longer have the desire to put forth the effort it takes keep these endeavors of our farms and business on the move. There are no children. I know we have earned the money and assets to enter this period of our lives, but don;t know how to move on to the next step. I know that the ability to retire has to be a mental one as well as a physical one. How have some of you folks dealt with this time in your lives?? Thanks for your input. | |
