| Been following Agtalk for some time but am a first time poster. I really appreciate what wealth of knowledge you guys offer.
Since it seems the gravy train in the row crop world is coming to an end I would like to expand in to livestock. What I am thinking is either 500 head cattle building or a 2400 head hog building. We have been out of livestock since I was a kid but when we did have some it was cattle so I do have some experience with cattle, little to none with hogs. The appeal to me with hogs is it would be easier to contract feed. That is also kind of the down side as I think I would rather own at least some of the animals. If starting from scratch what would you do?
