Subject: Test of JD rate controller on planter

Well, the planter wasn't hooked up to the tractor.  I had all the cables connected and bundled up in the cab from the 2600 display with swath control pro activated to the Tru Count valve boxes.  I had a manually operated height switch I could move to simulate raising and lowering the planter.  On the basis of the coverage map, when everything was "go" (gps signal good, documentation set up, swath control turned on, master switch on, implement switch closed) the system would operate properly at the border of the field, turning off section by section as you pass over the boundary.  However within the field it appears that the system would keep planting even though you were passing over an area already planted on the coverage map.  Is there something I am missing in the setup?

Thanks,  Gordon
