Subject: Determining when milo is ready to harvest?

West Kentucky
I am a little ashamed to have to ask this question, but here goes. For you experienced milo growers, how do you determine when milo is ready to harvest? How dry does it need to be to store for a few months? Johnsongrass and cocklebur have gotten pretty bad late season, do we need to spray it prior to harvest with roundup (think we can combine through it fine)?
