Subject: Downer VS Britten Milo fingers

Lorenzo, tx
Just traded combines and headers and the new one came with a set of the black brittens. about half the sets are staggered and the other half are the flush. I tried cutting some today and was not impressed, I even considered getting the orange metal ones back out, Cringe!! They knocked a lot down if I turned slightly and would leave a row of heads every once in a while, as well as just kinda bunching up and dozing down a row. Would I be happy with the downers? Be close to $2180 to do my 30 ft head. The ones the Deere house had had small U channel on the bottom rather than angle iron like pictured on the website. This is a 9750 sts 930r cutting about 3000 lb milo, almost everything I have is row planted. Have over 7000 acres to cut this year. Dont ever hardly have any down milo. Most stands pretty well here. Thanks for the opinions
