Subject: putting up haylage

SW PA
Been thinking about the best way to put up haylage. We will be milking 50-60 cows by this summer. Feeding about 15 lbs haylage on a DM basis. I'm looking to put up the highest quality most consistent feed possible. I get the feeling that I should be looking toward a silo. I'm sure some of you will say that is the wrong direction. Why? I'd like to hear from you in case I'm not taking something into consideration. I'll answer any ? you have because some recommendations could be farm specific. For some background labor here is in short supply, we have made balage in the past, and we bagged all haylage this past year and made one drive over pile in the fall. All have had some positives and some negatives.
