Zabcikville, TX | I had custody of my daughter from 3-15 yrs old. At that time, she wanted to live with her mom. I said we would try it for 6 months and if she wasn't happy she could come back home. Things seemed to be going well until Oct 2011. Then she stopped calling, couldn't reach her on the phone basically no contact. Then Christmas Eve 2011 she told me she didn't want to see or talk to me anymore. Fast forward a year, she calls, out of the blue, the 12th of December and wants to come visit. Picked her up from school on that Friday, dropped her off Saturday at her babysitting job. Calls again Sunday night at 11:30 and says "dad, can you come get me?" I drive 45 minutes to get her and she's been home since. She's a senior, her birthday was the 19th, she turned 18. I got my daughter back for Christmas. I'm very proud of the young lady she has become. Smart, intelligent, doesn't party, would rather hang out here with us, no tatoos, doesn't drink. Just a darn good kid. Thanks Santa! | |
