Subject: Done cutting wheat

Southern Illinois

Well the traders and the grain companies need to take note. Not only is there going to e a shortage of hard wheat out west but the soft red wheat is not of extremely good quality either. Yields ran from high of 60 to below 20 bpa. Test weights from 57 down to 52 lbs per bushel. We had heavy fusarium infections and even the better stuff doesn't look great. All this and still $0.60 basis because there is an overstock of wheat out there so they claim.

I think the SRWW crop in southern IL is going to come in below expectations. Saw some posts from parts of MO that don't sound much better.

Now we need some rain for the beans. Sounds like we may get it in the next few days. The April planted corn is anywhere from 3-4' tall and already curling in the afternoon.
