Subject: ? for corn growers,

Little River, TX
A number of fields here planted with BT corn show a disable difference from a distance in the tassels.
It appears using a 12 row planter, 9 rows are a lighter tassel than the remaining 3 rows.
Is this built in, so compliance in the non BT refuge can be detected from the road or in aerial photos? Or is it just some random chance in genetics?
It appears from the road the 3 non gmo variety is on one end of the planter. This usually results in 6 rows together, of non BT(?) corn, & then 18 rows of modified corn. Is this a requirement?

Guess I should spend some time in the coffee shop, except farmers seldom are to be found sitting around drinking coffee in this little corner of the world.
