WCIL | We were independent Farrow to Finish until Nov. We now are contract finishing. We start them in our nursery and then move to the finishing buildings.
We are getting up in age and are wondering. What do you use to get out deads? Do the dead carts really work? 200+pounders will do us in.
Cleaning the Finishing building was a very long process this time. We have partially slatted buildings. The solids were really built up on the concrete. 4 days of soaking, scraping and rinsing was not enough. We figure it is either the DDGs or Fat in the ration. We hope that with warm weather and the use of sprinklers it will help with the build up. Anyone have any more suggestions? | |
