Subject: Could use some advice on holstein steers

frederick, MD

I get very tired of the variablity in bull calf prices, just got a check today and wondering why in the world I got 15 dollars for a perfectly good bull calf.  I have thought about it before, and think more about it now.  IS IT WORTH RAISING DAIRY STEERS? I am going to have some space freed up pretty soon, so beef guys give me the low down.

What I have on hand, mixer wagon that will handle hay, high mos. corn, mountain of corn silage, small mountain of small grain silage that will grow soon, bulk soybean meal, and bulk DDG.

I dont even have the faintest clue what to feed them, or how to market them?  got any pointers?
