Subject: New ground burn down in spring?

Northern Illinois
I have picked up a few pieces of new ground that have not been farmed in 20+ years. They have been mowed twice a year, grass is probably 4-6 inches tall. I am going to apply a burn down as early as the weather will permit. I am going to be no tilling soybeans into all of this new ground. I was thinking a tank mix of valor xlt and glyphosate for my first pass pre plant. Should I consider adding 24d to the mix? Any better suggestions? I will come back post w/ probably glyphosate and something else depending on weed pressure. I am a young farmer, so somewhat new to the chemical side of things, especially on new ground. Thanks!
