Subject: liming/pH help needed

I picked up some ground with a pH of 5.9 water and 6.9 buffer. I need to get it planted to soybeans this week (been waiting for the rain to stop) and am trying to figure out what to do.

Would you go with pellitized lime or good old ag lime. The ag lime I can get about 50% will go through a 100 mesh screen. The reasion I was thinking pel lime is because I am not sure if this will be a multi year deal.

So how much pel lime would you use IF you went that route or do you think the ag lime will work fast enough

Thanks

Troy
