North West IA/western AZ | I offered to help the young guy who does the hog chores in my buildings if he came up with some land to farm. He called this AM to say he might be able to pick up 32 acres that has been alfalfa for a few years. I've never done it, but think it shouldn't be too hard. Since it is so late I was thinking that he might as well take the 1st cutting spray with Roundup, and plant. I have the sprayer and Kinze 2600 setup for notill. What would be the best additives to kill the alfalfa? How about timeing? Do you wait for a new leaf before spaying? Thanks for any help. | |
