Danville, Illinois | This will be my first ry at notill soybeans. My ground is starting to get a little weedy so I plan to spray 1 quart per acre roundup for a burndown prior to planting. My planter is a JD 7200 with Yetter rigid row cleaners and I just installed Martin 15" spiked closing wheel on on side of each row unit. My soil is poorly drained heavy clay. I have two questions.
1 how long should I wait for the burndown to to work before planting?
2 will my planter handle the conditions in clay ground with corn stubble left from last year without any additional springs or coulters? | |
