We would like to get our adult daughter a small set of quality kitchen knives for Christmas. We use some Cutco that we have had since forever, except for my personal favorite do-everything knife, which is a Chicago Cutlery "boning" knife. We don't want to spend quite the money for a Cutco set, it appears that Chicago Cutlery is just a brand now, not USA made any more.

Looking for opinions, would prefer to buy US made. I have seen "Old Hickory" listed-are those any good?
