The Cutcos may be expensive but in the long run they are worth every penney. Wife has a catering business & uses nothing but Cutcos. Probably bought her first set 10 years ago and so far have only had to send a couple back in for sharpening and never have had one break or get damaged and they are dishwasher safe. I would hate to quess how much more use her's get than what a set would in an ordinary kitchen.

A set should last your daughter her lifetime and she'll thank you every time she uses them.
