Subject: Spider mites in corn

Never had this before. Have spider mites in corn. Seems worse under the irrigation pivot. Mites are present in middle 1/3 of canopy in places. Infestation varies through out the field. Corn is strong in R4 and have some denting. Corn has solid yield potential. Good stands, good N, good disease control. Just received 1.5” rain and temps going forward are in the 80’s. Do we treat the mites and throw in some fungicide?
