Subject: Drago vs CIH 2612 and 4412

Northern edge Mahnomen County
In the next 6 months I plan to buy my first corn header. 12 row 30 inch and will be on a CIH 8230. I want a chopping header for residue management. After my research, I have been leaning toward Drago and CIH 2612 from around 2008 to 2015 (years are approximate to illustrate price range.) This puts the 4412 at the high end of my search, but I am wondering if there are major differences to the 2612, or just a similar newer model? I want a header that can do 400 acres a year and not need major maintenance every year. How many acres can these heads cover between major rebuilds and what are the yearly maintenance requirements for these heads? I have looked at other heads, but am not really considering due to maintenance requirements or lack of dealers in the area. (Geringhoff, good reputation, but higher maintenance)
What does everyone recommend and your experiences?
