| Well i am trying to learn something from the failure i have in soybeans . I am south west VA and I have flat bottom ground which is sandy loom. I have 70 acres in hay for 10 years. Just fescue . Fertilize it every year and i am always heavy on the potash. This year soil test was good, ph 6.5, k was over 250 and forget what p was . Sprayed it down just with roundup. Planted beans a week later May 5 th. Inoculated and seed was treated . Planted deere drill 1.5 inches . Enough moisture may and June . Beans only grew 6 to 8 inches. Thats it. Test show a little nemotodes but lab said not enough to stop a crop
. I really though with moist mellow bottom ground we could at least get some beans . Extension really has no good answer .
First time for crops on this field for me . Owned it for 10 years
