Mid Michigan | I had a guy call me tonight to see if I was interested in buying some 8-10 week old Holstein steers. I am guessing they are about 200 but have not seen them. They are weaned, castrated, and dehorned. I usually buy 400 to 600 steers but a little shy about the cost. Thought maybe buying lighter animals would be a little more profitable. 500 pound Holstein feeders at the local barn last week were $2.00-$2.20. What do you think a fair price would be?
