Subject: Took The Stock Trailer For A 4 Hr. Ride Yesterday & Came Home Empty.

Sandy Hook, MB

Hello All

Went to a bull sale yesterday & came home empty handed. 34 Charolais yearling bulls averaged $3,789.71 with 3 high sellers at $5,500 & 1 900 lb.er that I thought would've gotten passed, sold for the starting bid of $2,000. The ones that I picked out sold for $5,200, $5,000, $4,100 & $4,700, too rich for my blood! Nothing seemed to deter the bidders, a 115 lb birth weight or the 2 bulls that got a "little excited" in the sale ring. Bull market seems like it's going to be pretty hot this spring!  I'm going to a breeder's place tomorrow & if I don't buy any there, another sale on Tuesday. Even though I don't turn out until July 20, I have to buy bulls now because if I wait, they will all be picked over & just the poorer ones left over.

Reason for edit: Typo, forgot the all mighty "$" sign!
