She doesn't understand the apparent glee that accompanies some posts about lower priced corn and beans. Frankly neither do I.
Having sold corn for $.93 when gas was as low as $.10 because of "gas wars" and having bought pop for 5¢ when it was the little Cokes I kind of think corn has every right to have kept up with the rest of society. When my sale of 93¢ corn was made the girls working at the A&W made 65¢ and hour, today at similar places they make $7.50, I rather believe they can afford corn at $6 or $7.
