Subject: Fire equipment hose thread?

Faunsdale, AL
We wanted to have some way to use our water truck to fight fire, so we picked up an old hose reel and hose from the local VFD.

Got the reel mounted yesterday and started looking at plumbing it up. Pump isn't installed yet, but we plan to connect it with some adapters and a quick coupling so we can close the compartment doors when we're not using it and keep pump from freezing. Probably will have to blow out the hose with compressed air so it doesn't freeze in winter as well. The supply side is no problem, all 1" pipe thread.

The hose has a type thread on it I have never seen. Looks like a VERY coarse thread between 1" NPT and 1-1/4" NPT. Could just cut it off and use hose clamps and a king nipple to go to pipe threads, but this thing is already there and smooth so no gashed up hands.

Any idea what nozzle we could get to screw on it and where could I get one?
