Northeast Nebraska | Father in law wants to windrow and bale some stalks and then seed a cover to graze.
The field has had 1.2 qts Harness Xtra (.5lb/ac atrazine) and then post emerge has had 3oz/ac of callisto. Since the callisto application havent had any rain. Will anything grow?
The plan was to windrow and bale the stalks. Then broadcast a cover and disk it in. Disk wont go deep because ground is so hard. Then hope for a rain to sprout things.
Side note, what does the corn need tested for before windrowing, baling, and feeding to stock cows? Nitrates only? What will be the proper way to sample and send the corn stalk? | |
