| We are enduring this drought like everyone else. Last weekend the well finally gave out and I had to haul water. It is not good when the better half runs out mid-shower!!! So my priorities have been changed. Running the 350' of water line to hook up to the rural water district is now job 1. I began digging today. They want the waterline a minimum of 42" deep so I am digging 48" deep. I have yet to find any moisture and this is on heavy clay ground!! It is coming up in chunks too. I don't know what is keeping the crops green. Just thought I would share an observation I had. | |
