Subject: couple things

Been looking at a few things over the weekend.

First looking at 2007 when we planted 94mil. We harvested a perfect trend line yield of around 150. (I'm looking at a line chart if it's off a bit) Taking into consideration the trend line adjustment it would give us a possibility of 158 if we did plant 94mil again this year. I think this is a more realistic number to work from. If we were to harvest 86mil it would give us a 13.5bil crop. I was listening to commentary and "even seasoned floor traders think USDA numbers are not right".

So do beans buy acres off of this?

Also looking at beans not having much resistance until $14 or so. What would this do to the 94mil? Right now beans are 2.3 vs. corn. If we got to $13.80 on SX before planting I don't see CZ being anywhere over a 2.4 difference.

So paying attention to the wedge. Where do we go. Can corn go lower? Possibly. But how much lower in regards to soybeans if they are truly trying to "buy acres".

Comments?
