Subject: 7R Turbocharger & Cooling Questions

Oregon
The Deere 7R brochure states on page 11:

Regarding the 7200R and 7215R 6.8 L Engine: "...This engine utilizes two turbochargers for outstanding torque rise and engine responsiveness. By splitting the work between two turbochargers, both can operate at peak efficiency and at slower rotating speeds for improved durability."

I can not tell from the picture in the brochure but the Deere language means that the 6.8 in this application uses two turbos in parallel.

On page 34 of the same brochure, under 7200 & 7215 Specifications:

"Dual-series turbocharger with fixed geometry first stage, variable geometry second stage;"

This Deere language means that the 6.8 runs a single dual-series turbo. Misprint?

So, the 7200R and the 7215R run twin dual-series turbochargers in parallel? Or do they run a fixed geometry turbo and a variable geometry turbo in series like the 9.0 in the 8Rs and all 9Rs?

I was kinda skeptical of the new 7R push-fan cooling system but the packaging and engineering looked really impressive in person. Does anyone have experience with this new system? How does it handle straw and chaff during baling?
