Subject: JD 1560 and 1590 drills. Just what is the difference?

Hi all. I have a 1590 and was looking at a 1560. I cant tell the difference. It appears the same closing arm and wheels are used. The same seed press wheels and arm. Same arm springs. Same opener arms and bushings etc., etc. The only diference I could find, was the round pipe that the seed tubes rest on, is at a lower mounting spot on the 1560. Even the seed boots and metal tubes are the same.

Could it be that someone has put 1590 openers on a 1560? Or perhaps the last 1560 had those components? The 1560 even had the active down pressure valve. I have seen the difference from the 750 opener however, and it is quite lot different.

Thanks for any information on the real difference(s).
