Southeast Colorado | I'm going to look at one with my adult daughter tomorrow. It's a small house built in the 40s in a town of about 30k people. She's currently in an apartment but would love to have her own place.
Everything has just been very unaffordable for her.....and this place all of the sudden is. It's listed as a foreclosure with NO WARRANTY.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it and could help her work on it. But I'm used to more rural settings where people aren't looking over your shoulder. If we start to remove the siding.....will an inspector show up, or a neighbor turn us in?
I guess I'm just trying to get educated on the pitfalls of undertaking this. I suspect that the reason this house is affordable is because of this asbestos issue. | |
