Subject: Applying starter fert. in a T-band

Trying to keep things simple. Could I apply 4 to 6 gal. of starter this way mixed with my mustang max. for beets or with capture in corn? Would a 4 to 5" flat nozzle work or a streamer type nozzle be better? Would I get results by having starter mixed with soil around and above the seed vs. under the seed say with a keeten firmer and tube? How about seedling damage this way? Thoughts appreciated !!
