East Central Iowa | Thursday the co-op sprayed some of our fields (eastern Iowa) with Headline using a helicopter on Thursday. These where are more odd-shaped and hilly fields. Helicopter lands right on top of the aviation's tender truck to fill-up. Co-op provides the chemicals. Helicopter holds 75 gallons. The outfit the co-op was using was out of Gettysburg, PA. Quite interesting to watch him work - stayed closer to the ground than a plane, followed the dips and peaks in the fields and faster turning on the ends.
