Baldwin City, KS | It seems that when ground is offered to us anymore, the landlord usually has a high price in mind that they won't likely budge on. The truth is, there is always someone in line that will pay it or more and I know that you can't make money with it if you don't have it, high rent or otherwise. Anyway, it looks like pasture is following suit.
My question is, in today's environment, is $40 an acre a fair cash rent for good pasture ground? When I started, $20-25 was common, $30 really doesn't bother me, but to me, $40 is getting right up there. However, if I need to get with the times, I need to get with the times. What do you guys think? | |
