Subject: baseball field farming, gypsum to help drainage?

Prairie Home MO
Our school ball field has some drainage issues. Alot of compacted clay was moved and usd to build it. What would happen if we got a semi load of gypsum and spread all over it? What rate or what would be the max rate and not kill the outfield? Would it work? If yes, would you see a difference this year? Thanks Robert
