Farmers have been talking for years about how when you put a big tractor on a big center fill planter the compaction from the tractor and extra weight on the center of the planter leads to yield lost. It was much more noticeable this year due to the wet conditions. After the end rows were removed in some fields you could see the pattern across the field. Today I found out that it has its own name BPS.
More talk from farmers this year about trading their bulk planters for standard boxes.
