Subject: Mounting small diameter lawnmower tires

East Central Arkansas

Putting some new tires on our lawnmower.  In the past I had had a problem with the tire wanting to hold on the rim as I spooned it on if I used tire lube. So was doing it without any lube. First side goes over the wheel easily but the second is tough. I noticed the tire tool was tearing the bead as I would pry the tire on the wheel. I tried just putting the lube on the tire tool and the tire went much easier without messing up the bead. Second tire went much easier without any damage to the bead. It seemed the rubber in those tire beads was really soft. The tire brand was Airloc. I couldn't even find what country they are made in stamped on them. Waiting for another day it's not raining and warm so I can do the front ones. I am sure I will have to learn or relearn some tricks for mounting those little things.
