Subject: RE: Roll Up Barn Door Questions

SW Illinois
we have two 16x16 doors on the feed mill. South and North facing. 4 years and no issues yet. We did spend a little extra and got a high wind rating on them (90mph+ i think). Like anything else its what you want to pay for. Cheap door will blow away and a pricey one will probably hold up. Had some bin sheets crinkle this summer from a northwest wind, the roll ups were not hurt at all. They are used on a daily basis and it seems like a 15-20 mph wind is getting common place around here.

as others said, there can be some head room issues but you can order a taller door and recess the roll into the attic/rafters.
