Subject: RE: Pick up truck sprayer questions

Carter Montana
We ran pickups for years and years. They held up better than we did.

The biggest reason we switched to a tractor as a primary sprayer was to get out of the spray. I've developed a serious build-up/tolerance to 24-D and Glyphosate mainly because I spent years in a pickup with no air conditioning and the window rolled down enjoying the day. Every corner you take you get another shot of chemical due to that little bit of drift that is always seems to be out there.

If you have air conditioning in your truck it will be a different story. But if you will be exposing yourself to this stuff on a very regular basis, take the advice of someone who figured out the hard way that it's not worth it.

Oh, yeah, 500 gallons is alot to ask out of a one ton. I would recommend 400.
