Subject: Re: Gordon rasp bars?

Northeast Louisiana
I have no experience with the Gordon bars, but they look like an attempt to turn the specialty rotor back into a conventional. I went the other direction. I run full rice spikes in my 2388 with the Stewart Steel Axcellar kit on it, and Estes Disruptors. I have no problems anymore in green stemmed soybeans and down rice, no rumbling, slugging or anything. The funny thing is, our combine also does very well in wheat and corn too, just have to know how to set it. In corn, our cobs come out whole and clean. We don't grind up our wheat straw either.
Again, though, it's all in how you set it.
