| Most blackleg vaccines take time to respond and build immunity. Alpha 7 at birth is effective because it has a immediate response time. I lost 1/3 of my calves in 1993 to C & D before I found a vet that knew what I was doctoring. Since then I have used Alpha 7 at birth and eliminated the threat. I think a lot of people think they may be doctoring and loosing calves thinking they have a scour problem and not realize what it could be. To me Alpha 7 is a MUST AT BIRTH | |
