Subject: Texas Traffic

I'm tired of this cold weather. So I'm headed south. I'll be approaching Dallas/Fort Worth via I35 and hope to exit via I45. Is this a bad idea? I often read on Ag Talk of construction delays etc. What does everyone recommend? Avoid the city at all costs? Go through at night? What route would you take?Thanks.
