Subject: RE: Question for air to air heat pump owners???

West Central Iowa
It has electric resistance as backup. My parents built this house in the late 70's and my mother would not allow LP in the house. It is a little over 2000 SqFt on the main floor. Actually, with the special winter electric rate out power bill has not been too bad in the past. Our Dec bill for all the electric in the house (includes 2 garages with electric heaters) was $201. 71 and the Jan bill was $257.45. I am not one to sit and freeze in my house, so I do keep the thermostat at 72-73 degrees. I have been told Mid American is phasing out their special winter "all electric" rate, so it may get a lot more expensive in the future.
